Where? F & M Fabrics 2954 Niles Street, Bakersfield, Hancock

Meet at the Noah‘s Bagels/Starbucks shopping area in Stevenson
Ranch to carpool from Santa Clarita. The address is 25904 The Old
Road, Stevenson Ranch. We will leave promptly at 9:30am so if you
want to pick up coffee and/or bagel please come early.
We will stop in Frazier Park at the Flying J Truck Stop just off the
Frazier Park exit to pick up our guide at about 10:15am.
This hidden gem of a fabric shop is a favorite of ASGLA member,
Lori Johnson from Frazier Park. She recently commented, "be
prepared to be a bit overwhelmed at first... most all the fabrics
are on rolls, 54-60" wide from $1.00 per yard, lots of good stuff in
the $2.00-$3.00 range. Buttons 6/$1.00, interfacing $1.00 p/y.
Trims and lace, drapery and upholstery at great prices too!"
After a bit of shopping at F & M, we will have lunch nearby and
head over to Hancock Fabrics after lunch. Then, an optional shop to
visit is Strawberry Patches which is a quaint fabric shop in the area.
You are welcome to join our carpool or meet at the first location.

305-0544 so if you are lost or miss us somehow you can call on the
road.

Fabrics is 2954 Niles Street, Bakersfield (off the 99 fwy). We
should be there at 11:00am or so. Then we will head over to
Hancock Fabrics after lunch located at 2601 South H Street. Lunch
is on your own. We will suggest a couple of options.
Directions to F & M: take I 5 to the 99 north to Bakersfield, take
the 58 east to Mt. Vernon, go left about 2 miles, turn right on
Niles, about a mile on left is a shopping center (Hillcrest Shopping
Center). F & M is in there.
